Prof. Dr. Soren Dressler, Program Director

Dear visitor, we are glad that you have chosen to learn more about our postgraduate program MBA&E at the HTW Berlin. The MBA&E is an interdiscplinary program with two alternative specializations. The first specialization, Business Process Outsourcing, opens you a wonderful career opportunity in one of the fastest growing branches of technology-based services globally. The second specialization, Interdisciplinary Management, provides you with skills extremely valuable in the coordination of complex projects where professionals of various disciplines collaborate to create a system solution to a customer need. Both specializations are strongly oriented toward business practice and career development and are approved by our
advisory board as distinguished career assets.
The program offers you a clear-cut balance of solid management skills, competency in applying and managing technology in business, and the specialization of your choice. As a relatively small program, the MBA&E is flexible, personal, and quick to follow industry trends; however, it is backed up by the resources and facilities of the HTW, a university of close to 10,000 students. As you can see on our staff profiles page, our lecturers are professionals and industry experts with long, recent and significant business experience in the private sector. In addition to our lecturers, you will have the opportunity of further business exposure through guest speakers and excursions to companies and professional fairs.
Being over 80% international, the MBA&E is a great opportunity to learn about people, too. In fact, teamwork, communication and peer networking are the program's further focuses and critical business skills of today. In addition to the project modules dedicated to solving complex business problems as a team, almost every course in the curriculum includes guided team exercises. The diverse, yet friendly atmosphere in the program lets you learn important soft skills without the pressure of working life.
We are certain we can also welcome you on behalf of the city of Berlin. The unique atmosphere, the wide cultural offerings, and the legendary nightlife are likely to make your stay in the city an unforgettable experience. You will also find out that Berlin supports your studies and professional development in the form of excellent libraries, professional seminars and conferences, and various networking organizations.
In 2010, we will again receive an international group of young professionals heading for a global career. We will offer them a living and developing program of up to date contents, industry cooperations and networking. We are looking forward to hearing from you!
